Comelec starts bid process for supplies to be used in May 2019 polls

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will open the bidding for the supply and delivery of poll supplies to be used in the May 2019 midterm polls next month.

In its Invitation to Bid, the Comelec Bids and Awards Committee informed interested bidders that the Bid Opening shall be held on December 11 at 10 a.m. at the FEMII Building in Intramuros, Manila.

“Late bids will not be accepted,” it read.

The Pre-Bid Conference, on the other hand, will be held on November 27 at 10 a.m. at the same building.

According to COMELEC – BAC, the approved budget for the contract (ABC) is P160,687,221.94.

This will be for the purchase of the following: 1,104,000 pieces of Ballot Secrecy Folder (P11,956,320.00); 368,000 bottles of Indelible Stain Ink (P56,672,000.00); 708,000 pieces of Ballpen (P3,596,640.00); 129,518 pieces of Seal with Steel Wire for ballot box and ERSD (P12,822,282.00); 500,000 pieces of Plastic Security Seal (P22,500,000.00); 129,518 rolls of Transparent Tape (P7,036,712.94); and 10,730 boxes of Continuous Forms (P25,752,000.00); 20,300 ream of A4 copies Paper with security markings (P5,795,650.00); 92,000 pieces of Thumbprint Taker (P3,220,000.00); 3,376 pieces of Pearl P350 Printer Ribbon (P1,877,056.00); 3,104 pieces of Epson FX 2190 Printer Toner (P1,474,400.00); and 257 pieces of Genecom 6800/6815Q Printer Ribbon (P1,387,800.00).

“Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening,” said the COMELEC – BAC.

Interested bidders may obtain a complete set of Bidding Documents until December 11 at the BAC Secretariat Office at the Palacio del Gobernador Bldg. in Intramuros, Manila and upon payment of a non-refundable fee.

Bidding documents may also be downloaded free of charge from the website of the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS) and the website of the COMELEC.

Bids Submission has been set on December 11 at 9 a.m. at the BAC Secretariat Office.
