Generally fair weather with hot and humid temperature will continue to prevail in the country due to easterlies, the state weather bureau said.
In its latest weather advisory issued Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the country will continue to experience fair weather as there are no weather disturbances brewing within the Philippine area of responsibility.
But two weather systems were being monitored by PAGASA which is the northeast monsoon affecting the extreme Northern Luzon and the easterlies affecting the rest of the country.
The northeast monsoon is expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands.
Meanwhile, in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will prevail due to localized thunderstorms.
Residents are warned that flooding or landslides are possible due to severe thunderstorms.
