President Duterte is planning to give a reward to law enforcers who will kill their superiors involved in the illegal drug trade.
The President has offered the reward after commending the policemen who launched a buy-bust operation that led to the death of drug-linked Police Supt. Santiago Rapiz in Dipolog City.
Rapiz, a logistics officer of the Zamboanga del Norte police office, was reportedly included in the government’s list of ninja cops or policemen allegedly involved in recycling illegal drugs seized in legitimate police operations.
“Yung colonel na pinatay kagabi…Tama ‘yun. I’m going to reward that policeman, any policeman who will kill his superior because the superior is into drugs,” Duterte said during a Cabinet meeting in Malacañang.
“I will give you a prize and a trip to Hong Kong,” he added.
The President reiterated that he has offered P3 million for the arrest of ninja cops involved in illegal drug trade. Duterte insisted that he does not tolerate cops engaged in illegal activity.
“Patayin ninyo, three million,” he said, adding that drug-linked police officials are unlikely to surrender and might fight it out with arresting authorities.
“T** i*** mga pulis. Papatayin ko talaga kayo. Do not give me that human rights? Police nandyan ka sa droga?” he said.
The President previously expressed frustration with the policemen involved in the drug trade, offering bounty for every dead rogue cop. He warned the cops to better shape up, saying he would not tolerate corrupt and abusive men in uniform.
