Power interruptions in some areas in Pasig City and Mandaluyong City are scheduled this week, the Manila Electric Corporation (Meralco) said Saturday.
In a Facebook post, the power distribution company advised that for about an hour or less, residents of the areas will experience temporary power outages in the next few days.
On Monday, the first interruption is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., while the second is expected between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Areas affected are portions of Claro Castañeda and J.P. Rizal Streets from 5th Street to Coronado Street; 2nd, 4th, and Saniboy Streets; and Merryland Village in Barangays Namayan and Hulo in Mandaluyong City.
The power cut is due to preventive maintenance and testing works inside Meralco-Sta. Ana substation.
Meanwhile, some residents in Pasig should also expect power interruptions on Wednesday between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. and another between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Thursday.
Areas affected are portions of Elisco Road from Meralco-Taguig substation to M. Concepcion Avenue, including Dolmar Golden Heights Residences, East Mansion Townhomes, Regal International Snack Food Corp., Regent Food Corp., San Joaquin Kalawaan High School, San Joaquin Super Health Day Care Center, Mercury Drug, Petron Gas Station, Puregold Pasig, and Caltex Gas Station-Buting in Barangays Kalawaan, San Joaquin, and Buting in Pasig City.
