TAYTAY, Rizal — Incumbent Rizal Governor Rebecca “Nini” Ynares and her partymates in the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) filed their certificates of candidacy (COCs) at the office of the provincial election supervisor here Friday afternoon.
Ynares filed her COC with her vice gubernatorial mate, Vice Governor Reynaldo San Juan, Jr., the board members and congressional candidates, most of whom are incumbents, said Election Supervisor, Atty. Arnulfo Pioquinto.
A few supporters, including local officials of Taytay accompanied the candidates at the Comelec-Rizal office.
The other day, the early bird who arrived at the provincial election office was overseas Filipino worker, Jose “Boboy” Monge Velasco, filed his COC for governor. He was followed by 70-year-old businesswoman, Maria Lourdes Henson Rodriguez, who filed her COC for Rizal 2nd District’s congressional seat.
