TACURONG CITY, SULTAN KUDARAT– Police authorities are still facing a blank wall on the killing of a former policeman who was gunned down last Monday while fixing his motorcycle at a repair shop in Barangay New Isabela, this city.
Tacurong police chief Supt. Joefil Siason said investigators have yet to establish the identity the suspect and the motive behind the killing of Jayson Valdez , 29 who was shot dead by an unidentified gunman wearing a ski-mask at a motorcycle repair shop in Purok Ilang-ilang, Barangay New Isabela, this city.
Siason said Valdez was a former member of the PNP-Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit who went AWOL (Absent Without Leave) in 2015.
He said the victim succumbed to three bullet wounds in the head and body.
Police are eyeing personal grudge as possible motive into the killing.
