The little boy tried to make sense of what happened to him saying: “Ako po’y natutulog ni-gawa kong bag ‘yung upuan. Ni-aantok ako (I was asleep then woke up and put the chair on my back mistaking it for my bag. I was very sleepy).”

In the video Dean is seen sleeping with his head rested on the table. He was then roused from sleep by his teacher Aurora Medina as it was already their dismissal time.

Rousing from sleep, and probably still dizzy, the nursery pupil got up and grabbed the nearest object to him.

That object turned out to be the very white plastic chair he was sitting on while in slumber.

He put the chair on his back, even putting both his arms on the spaces in between the armrest as if it was a knapsack.

His teacher laughed as the poor boy carried the chair along for a few seconds, and was already on his way out of the classroom.

Eventually, coherence kicked in and Dean realized that instead of carrying his bag, he was carrying a chair.

Medina said that she has a theory why Dean became so sleepy that day. She believed that Dean might have eaten food that was for his aunt who is pregnant.

It is a Filipino belief, she says that if you consume food intended for a pregnant woman, you will get sleepy instead of your pregnant relative.
