Road repairs on some portions of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and other parts of the metropolis will resume over the weekend.
The Department of Public Works and Highways said today, August 10, that it will undertake road reblocking of four major roads in Quezon City and one in Manila with approved clearance given by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
Portions affected on EDSA include the southbound direction of EDSA from in front of Francesca Tower to after Scout Borromeo, third lane from the center island; and at the northbound direction before North Avenue, sixth lane from the center island.
Roads to undergo weekend repair include the northbound directions of A. H. Lacson Avenue, from corner Aragon Street and corner P. Florentino Street; Fairview Avenue, from Mindanao Avenue Extension to Jordan Plains Subdivision, third lane; Batasan Road, from before Payatas Road, second lane; and Katipunan Avenue, between Capitol Hills Drive, Ayala Heights Village, first lane.
The road repair activities will be carried out from 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. of August 13, 2018, according to DPWH-National Capital Region director Melvin Navarro.
Navarro urged motorists to use possible alternate routes as traffic slowdown is expected in the affected areas during the road repairs.
