ILOILO CITY — A bomb threat has suspended classes at the Sambag campus of the University of San Agustin here.
“The University of San Agustin confirms that it received a bomb threat through a phone call today, August 9 at around 10:00 o’clock in the morning,” it said in a statement.
“Classes were immediately suspended while the area is cleared from the threat,” it stated.
Grade school and high students were having their periodic examinations at the campus located in Sambag village in Jaro district. The main campus is located along Gen. Luna Street.
School officials called the Philippine National Police (PNP), which cordoned off the area to check.
This is not the first time that the university’s Sambag campus received a bomb threat.
