A massage therapist was apprehended after he allegedly touched the chest of his female client, an Australian national, in Mandaluyong City on Monday night.

Police identified the suspect as Glenn Gabino, 28, a therapist of Thai Royal Spa located on Boni Avenue. Meanwhile, the victim was a 28-year-old student.

2 Japanese nationals held

Two Japanese nationals were nabbed on Monday after one attempted to bribe authorities in exchange for the release of his companion who was caught with fake US dollar notes.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director Chief Supt. Tomas Apolinario Jr. and Makati City Police Chief Senior Supt. Rogelio Simon presented yesterday Noa Shimegi, 27, and Yoshitaka Yamamoto, 48 who were billeted at Unit 210 at Hop-In Hotel, Makati Avenue, Makati City.

Based on the complaint of Amalia Yamat, cashier of Emelda Money Changer located at Kalayaan Avenue corner Mariano St., Barangay Poblacion, Shimegi attempted to exchange 10 pieces of counterfeit US dollar bills.

During the initial investigation, Shimegi said that he just came out of his hotel room at around 2:45 p.m. on Monday when an unidentified Asian looking person asked him if he needed dollars.

He gave the person yen in exchange for 10 pieces of 100 US dollar notes.

Personnel from the PCP 6 of the Makati City Police conducted a follow-up operation at the hotel at about 7:00 p.m. to verify if the alleged Asian looking person was still in the area.

During the operation, Yamamoto approached the police and attempted to bribe them with P50,000 for the release of Shimegi from police custody. Yamamoto was also arrested for the act.

Based on the passport of the two, they arrived last July 15 from Narita, Japan.
