BUTUAN CITY – The regional command of Northeastern Mindanao Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) disclosed on Saturday (July 7) that P4, 867, 512.52 of dangerous drugs were confiscated by the various police units since the re-launching of “Project Double Barrel Reloaded”.
PRO 13 Regional Director Chief Supt. Noli A. Romana told The Manila Bulletin on Saturday that 394.6553 grams of Shabu and 3, 419.636 grams Marijuana were confiscated in various anti-drugs operations in the five provinces and six cities in Caraga region.
“There were 234 persons arrested currently facing charges at various courts in the region in violation of the Dangerous Drug Act,” the region’s police chief said,
He said various police drug enforcement units also visited 796 houses of drug personalities and 236 surrendered who underwent PNP recovery and wellness program from December 5, 2017 to present.
Chief Supt. Romana said that PRO 13 is still conducting mandatory and random drug test to its personnel.
Based on the record, Regional Crime Laboratory Office 13 already tested 1,467 from PRO13, 114 from National Support Units, 250 on schooling, and 554 promotable personnel as of June 30, 2018.
“PRO 13 will continue enforce without let-up more drug tests and stir drug awareness, not only among the public and private institutions but also among our personnel, through information and education programs,” Chief Supt. Romana added.
