LUCENA CITY, Quezon– Police raided a reported “shabu tiange” maintained by a family that killing a suspected pusher and arrested seven others, Sunday early morning at Purok 2 Sibang, Barangay Dalahican, here.
Superintendent Romulo Albacea, chief of Lucena City police identified the fatality as George Magpantay Morcon, 33 and arrested were Mary Ann Coro Magpantay, 31; Jomar Magpantay Bautista, 30; Renato Borcelo Tianela, 37; Benjie Oko Leona, 21; Edgar Danganan Arcilla, 30, and
Orlando Magbilang Magbilang, 48 and all residents of the said place. Police still hunting Manuel Magbilang Magpantay, 41, fruitcake vendor who escaped at the crime scene.
Albacea said that police bought a sachet of shabu from Manuel, as George who noticed the presence of police in the area shouted: “pulis” (police), which Manuel fled.
While George, who was armed by a handgun opened fire towards lawmen while running, and police chased him then shot him hitting seriously and died.
The seven arrested were at the drug den and confiscated from their possessions several sachets of shabu.
Police recovered two fired cartridge cases, a caliber .38 with Industria Argentina markings and loaded with three bullets and a fired cartridge case and commando matchbox.
Albacea added that the said place was reported and known as the shabu tiange, in the said village.
