Detained Senator Leila de Lima has filed a resolution calling on the Senate to probe the status of the measures supposedly meant to cushion the adverse impact of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law.
De Lima said the unexpected surge in inflation should have triggered immediate action on the part of the government implementing agencies to fast track the distribution of the social benefits provision under the Duterte administration’s tax reform program.
