By Danny Estacio

SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna — Police have collared two suspects in the murder of a Parañaque City resident after they hid in this city last Monday, police said.

Combined elements of the Parañaque City and San Pedro City Police Stations and the Laguna Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) arrested Michael Velloria, 27, and Mark Galolo, 25, in Jaka Village, Barangay Sampaguita, this city.

The two residents of Alateris Street, Masville, Barangay B.F. Homes, Parañaque City have been tagged by police as the ones who allegedly shot and killed Rodrigo Peligro in San Antonio, Parañaque earlier on Monday.

Senior Superintendent Kirby John Kraft, Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) director, said the shooting incident also resulted in the wounding of one Roger Almoguerra.

Upon their arrest in Jaka Village, police claimed to have recovered a hand grenade from Velloria and a.38-caliber revolver loaded with five live bullets from Galolo.

As such, the two were charged with illegal possession of firearms and explosives before the San Pedro City Prosecutor’s Office in addition to the murder case filed against them before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office.
