A Marikina cop was shot dead Thursday afternoon at the parking lot of the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) in Jupiter St., Makati City.
The slain police officer was identified as PO2 Teejay Valdez, an active Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel assigned to the Marikina City Police Station.
Valdez died on the spot from three gunshot wounds to the head.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim just attended a hearing of an administrative case filed against him at NAPOLCOM and was about to leave when he was shot three times by the unidentified gunman.
The lone suspect was described to be wearing a black jacket, and a black hat.
The hearing he just attended was in connection to a case of 3 counts of Grave Misconduct filed against him 2 years ago.
This was during a police operation with his companion when he was still assigned to the Eastwood Police Station under the Quezon City Police District
Police are consolidating all CCTVs, witnesses, and shreds of evidence for the identification of the suspect.
