BUTUAN CITY – A tectonic earthquake struck Agusan del Sur town early this evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The early evening earthquake also felt in this region’s premier and capital city of Butuan in Northeastern Mindanao region.
However, the Agusan del Sur and Butuan City disaster risk reduction and management councils reported no damage or injury.
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said a 3.6 magnitude earthquake was registered at 6:06 p.m. early this evening, June 13, 2018.
The epicenter was plotted only 7 kilometers southeast from the town proper of Sibagat, Agusan del Sur province, it said.
The tremor had a shallow depth of only 1 km, Phivolcs said.
Phivolcs also said Intensity lll was registered in Butuan City.
No aftershock was raised by the state agency.
No reported damage or injuries as of reporting time.
