ANGELES CITY – A Czechoslovakian tourist was arrested and jailed after he was charged with human trafficking for allegedly abusing and exploiting five minors.
Police said the arrest of the suspect came through the relentless efforts of Police Regional Office 3 headed by Chief Supt Amador V Corpus, Region 3 police director, to fight all forms of lawlessness, particularly human trafficking. Operatives of Regional Anti-Trafficking in Persons Task Group 3 (RATTG 3) conducted entrapment and rescue operation in Barangay Malabanias, Angeles City on Sunday which resulted in the suspect’s arrest and the rescue of five minors.
Senior Insp. Santi Frey Lorenzo, chief, RATTG3, identified the suspect as Pavel Nedoba a.k.a. Pol/Daddy. Pol, 43 years old, single, citizen of Czech Republic, businessman, tourist, and at present residing at Door No. 4, Gumoko Apartment, Mt. Mayon Ext. corner Mt. Arayat Sreet, Clarkview Subdivision, Barangay Malabanias, Angeles City.
Charges for Violation of Republic Act 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act) and Violation of RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) was already filed against the suspect before prosecutor Oliver S. Garcia docketed under IS no. III-01-INQ-18E-00355-356.
Rescued minor victims were brought to DSWD Haven for Girls Center in Magalang, Pampanga.
Corpus commended the operating troops for a job well done. He also assured the public that PRO3 will continue its campaign to eradicate all forms of criminality within the region.
