President Duterte has appointed lawyer Karen Jimeno as new Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Undersecretary for Disaster Resiliency.
The appointment paper of Jimeno was signed by the President last May 15 and released by the Palace Wednesday.
Before joining the PMS, Jimeno served as Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Priority Projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). She was appointed to the DPWH post in 2016.
Jimeno, a law graduate from the University of the Philippines, also worked in the office of Senator Panfilo Lacson when he served as Presidential Assistant for Rehabilitation and Recovery during the Aquino administration. She was also a part of the defense team during the impeachment trial of then Chief Justice Renato Corona.
Malacañang, meantime, also released the ad interim appointment paper of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat. Her appointment paper was signed last May 11.
Also released was the appointment paper of Abdullah Mama-o, who will serve as Special Envoy of the President to Kuwait from May 1 to October 31, 2018.
The President also designated Benjamin Palmero as member of the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) Renewables Corporation board of directors.
