Tagbilaran City – Afive-day agriculture fair will be one of the highlights of the province’s celebration of the Sandugo festival in July.
A statement from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist said on Saturday that the fair will feature produce from Boholano farmers and will run from July 17 to 21.
Assistant Provincial Agriculturist Larry Pamugas said the fair has been traditionally included in the activities during the Sandugo festival every July to promote, integrate the promotion and marketing of the agro-tourism efforts of Bohol.
One of the highlights of the fair will be the launch of the ‘Tatak Bohol’ brand.
The brand will pave the way of the showcasing of Boholano products and services.
At the same time, it will open opportunities for market research activities.
The ‘Tatak Bohol’ brand will position produce as high-quality agro-fishery products able to pass food safety standards.
It will be also an opportunity to showcase the efforts in upgrading farm technologies being used by farmers and other agriculture entrepreneurs.
Pamugas also said that the fair will be a major marketing and promotions activity highlighting the display of fresh, organic, agricultural products and other farm produce.
The fair will feature crops and other identified tourism circuits in the province.
