Road maintenance and repairs are again expected to affect vehicular traffic flow in five major roads in Quezon City (QC) and Caloocan City over the weekend, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.
Work on the roads was scheduled to start Friday night and will be completed by 5 a.m. on Monday, DPWH-National Capital Region Director Melvin Navarro said.
In Quezon City, reblocking and repair works will be carried out at the north-bound inner lane of Quirino Highway from Pagkabuhay Road to Kingspoint; Congressional Avenue Extension, corner Tandang Sora Avenue (first lane); Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) from Roosevelt MRT Station to Seminary Road (fifth lane); Congressional Avenue from Cagayan Street to Culiat Bridge (third lane) and Visayas Avenue, in front of Department of Agriculture (outer lane).
In Caloocan City, road works will be carried out at the Monumento Circle area.
Navarro advised motorists to use alternate routes if possible to avoid traffic congestion in the affected areas.
