Four people were shot dead, while one was wounded during three separate shooting incidents in Caloocan City from Tuesday to Wednesday.
In Barangay 37, Rose Marie Casiquin, 41, and her live-in partner, Anabel Mercado, 54, were shot in the head by a lone gunman along Macabelo Street around 1:30 p.m. of Tuesday, police said.
Casiquin died on the spot while Mercado passed away while undergoing treatment at Dr. Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center.
Neighbors of Casiquin and Mercado told police that they were allegedly involved in drug trafficking. Two empty shells of an unknown caliber of firearm were recovered from the crime scene.
In Bagong Silang, brothers Agapito, 19, and Ama Tubal, 18 were shot by two men wearing bonnets around 9:20 p.m. while they were buying gasoline for their tricycle.
The brothers were rushed to Tala Hospital, where Agapito was declared dead on arrival and Ama is still recuperating from a gunshot wound he sustained in the hip.
In Barangay 174, Gilbert Pangilinan, 52, was killed by motorcycle riding gunmen in Zapote Road 10 p.m. of Wednesday.
