A group of doctors today said the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) must prove that they did the right process when they examined the bodies of the deceased Dengvaxia-vaccinated children.
In a health forum, doctors from the Doctors for Public Welfare (DPW) stressed that they must show that they did the proper autopsy process.
The PAO must show that they performed the right process of examination on the exhumed bodies of the deceased kids),” said Dr. Francisco Tranquilino of the DPW.
Hindi maaring gano’n,” he explained.
The DPW earlier urged the Department of Justice to order the PAO to stop doing autopsies on the bodies of Dengvaxia-vaccinated children.
“In light of these findings by the pathologists of the Philippine General Hospital, it makes no sense for any more families to be subjected to the torture of having a loved one exhumed and cut up only to find out that no useful information was derived from the cruel act. We urge the Department of Justice to order the PAO to stop performing autopsies on these children and to leave the matter of determining the cause of death to competent forensic pathologists,” the group said in a statement.
Former health chief Esperanza Cabral, who was also in the forum, said she believes more in the health experts.
