The 12-minute lighting compositions are coupled with brilliant and vibrant lights accompanied by Cebuano Christmas soundtracks.

“We would like to associate it (symphony of lights) with the kind of governance that we have here at the Capitol,” Cebu Vice Governor Agnes Magpale said,

Last year the Cebu provincial government presented a huge Christmas tree and belen at the Capitol grounds.

“Dako og kahulugan kini atong gitawag nga dagitab” (The light holds a great symbol). We are just careful that we follow the light to guide us, to lead us. The light is also a symbol of transparency which is the essence of the administration of governor Junjun.” Magpale added, referring to Governor Hilario Davide III.

The governor’s wife, JobelAngan-Davide joined in the celebration and reminded everyone to spend time with their families and be grateful for the blessings they received this Christmas season.

She also expressed her gratitude to everyone who made the activity possible.

She also lauded the Visayan songs arranged and orchestrated by Niño Paredes that accompanies the light show.

“Misa Pastorela” by Msgr. Rodolfo Villanueva, “Harana sa Pasko” and “Pasko naUsab” are included in the list, topped with Minggoy Lopez’s “Ania Kami” and the Cebuano favorite “Kasadya” by Vicente Rubi.

The Cebu City local government opened a portion of the South Road Properties for the ‘Kasadya sa SRP’,a playground and theme park replete with colorful and moving lights to entertain the whole family.

It is open from 6p.m. to 11p.m. daily until February 28.
