2GO has issued a travel advisory on sea travel with the latest reports on tropical storm Vinta

Published

“Tropical storm Vinta is expected to make a landfall over the Caraga-Davao regions starting tonight, Dec. 21, or early Friday, Dec. 22, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

“Because of this, the Coast Guard Stations in Zamboanga and Cagayan De Oro have temporarily suspended / cancelled trips of all types of vessels and watercrafts bound for General Santos, Northern Mindanao, Visayas and Luzon area effective 6 a.m. Dec. 21.

“This is a proactive measure to ensure the safety of passengers, cargoes and vessels.

“Trips will resume as soon as the weather and sea conditions have improved and the suspension order is lifted.

“Safety is of utmost importance to 2GO Travel. We will continue to work with the Coast Guard station and await clearance to travel, while also updating the passengers on new schedules.”
