The oldest beauty pageant in Asia is back in the Philippines with 42 beautiful and empowered women from all over the world vying for the crown.
The Miss Asia Pacific International has been around since the 1960s and is now under new ownership and management. The organization has positioned itself to be a “pedestal for women who want to be the voice celebrating beauty and harmony in diversity.”
After a decade-long hiatus, Miss Asia Pacific International was re-launched in 2016 with 22-year old Tessa Helena Le Conge of the Netherlands bagging the title at ceremonies held at the Sheridan Beach Resort & Spa in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
Le Conge is now in the country to officially crown the new beauty queen during the Grand Coronation night on November 29 at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Resorts World Manila.
The pageant officially started with the press presentation of the candidates last November 13 at Edsa Shangri-La. Prior to the grand event , the girls will undergo several preliminary competitions to be held around the Philippines.
