Cabucgayan, Biliran — The local government unit of this municipality is further promoting Kasabangan Falls as a major tourist attraction and is appealing for additional assistance from the provincvial government and the Tourism department.
Mayor Edwin Masbang said that he is seeking and appealing for assistance from the provincial government of Biliran, the Department of Tourism and other concerned agencies for the improvement of the facilities in the vicinity of the falls frequented by tourists.
The mayor said that he is optimistic that more local and foreign tourists will visit Kasabangan Falls once the tourism potential of the area is fully tapped, which will translate into more revenues and job opportunities for the town and its residents.
Masbang told the Manila Bulletin that Kasabangan Falls continues to draw local and foreign tourists.
Masbang said that Kasabangan Falls, which is already being developed as a tourist attraction, has 13 levels from its highest point on a mountaintop.
Masbang said that his office is drawing up plans and implement renovation efforts for the full development of the waterfalls.
Cabucgayan is a fifth-class town with a total land area of 54.19 square kilometers. It has 13 barangays with a population of 20,788, based on the 2015 census.
