2 PAF pilots survive emergency landing

By Aaron Recuenco

Two pilots of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) were injured when the trainer aircraft they were maneuvering made an emergency landing on a sugarcane plantation in Rosario, Batangas the other day.

A report reaching Camp Crame in Quezon City identified the two pilots as Maj. Gemar Tangacalagan, the pilot; and his co-pilot, 1Lt. Jamaica Ann Acojedo.

The two were taken to a military hospital in Lipa City after they suffered injuries as a result of the emergency landing.

Investigation revealed that at around 5:40 p.m. on Friday, the local police received a report that a T41 trainer aircraft took an emergency landing in Barangay Colongan in Rosario town.
