Almost 13,000 jobs are now available for jobseekers in PhilJobNet as more companies started using the government’s official job search website.
As of September 12, 2017, PhilJobNet has registered 2,085 accredited employers, who posted 12, 526 job vacancies.
This is significantly higher compared to the 2,014 accredited employers, who used PhilJobNet last month. Only around 8, 500 vacancies was made available in the website during that period.
Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III urged jobseekers to apply for the existing job offers in PhilJobNet, majority of which are for call center agents with 7,157 vacancies.
Also in the top 10 categories with the most vacancies in PhilJobNet are staff nurse (911); salesman (573); professional nurse (495); waiter (453); customer service assistant (391); cashier (334); automotive mechanic (302); and house steward (250).
Aside from job vacancies, Bello said applicants could also make use of PhilJobNet to get the schedule of the job fairs, which have been organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) together with its partner local government unit (LGU) and private companies.
For this week, DOLE has a scheduled job fair in Iloilo (Sept. 13), Iligan City (Sept. 14), Tagum City (Sept. 14), and Davao City (Sept. 16).
“For more job vacancies and other employment facilitation services, job seekers and employers may log on tohttp://philjobnet.gov.ph/,” Bello said.
