About six clustered barangays competed in Gilon-Gilon ed Baley (street dancing) on April 21 as part of the Dagupan Bangus Festival 2017.
The street dancing competition on Friday is one of the highlights of Bangus Festival 2017.
Winning contingent (Cluster 1) took home 150,000 cash prize and an entitlement to represent Bangus Festival in the “Festivals of the North: a battle of Festivals’ All-Star Street Dancing winners in different provinces and municipalities set on April 28.
Thousands of residents and visitors witnessed the performance of barangays showcasing bigger and better street dancing presentations.
The participants are Cluster 1: Salisay, Mangin, Bolosan, Tebeng, Mamalingling and Tambac; Cluster 2 – Bonuan Gueset, Bonuan Binloc, and Bonuan Boquig; Cluster 3 – Calmay, Carael, Salapingao, Lomboy and Pugaro.
Cluster 4 – Caranglaan, Bacayao Sur, Bacayao Norte, Mayombo and Herrero-Perez; Cluster 5 – Lasip Grande, Pogo Grande, Pogo Chico, Malued, Lasip Chico and Lucao; and Cluster 6 – Tapuac, Poblacion Oeste, Barangay 1, Barangay 2 and 3, and Barangay 4.
To date, eight participants have already signified their intention to join the Festivals of the North 2017. These are Tinungbo Festival of Pugo, La Union; Dinamulag Mango Festival of Masinloc, Zambales; Pamulinawen of Laoag, Ilocos Norte; Pindangan Festival of San Fernando, La Union; Halamanan Festival of Guiguinto, Bulacan; Abel-Iloko Festival of Caoayan, Ilocos Sur; Goat Festival of Balungao, Pangasinan; and Damili Festival of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte.
