Sto. Tomas, Pangasinan — Residents of this municipality up north made their bid yesterday for the Guinness World Records’ “Longest Line of Tables” and “Longest Picnic Line” categories to highlight its town fiesta.
As of press time yesterday afternoon, thousands of visitors and residents witnessed the exciting event which started at noon with the lining up of 2,470 tables – each measuring 2.43 meters long and stretching out to 6 kilometers.
Mayor Timoteo “Dick” Villar III said they will also attempt to break the Guinness’ Longest Picnic Line record last set by Alexandria, Egypt with the length of 4.3 kilometers.
The picnic table will serve 3,600 kilos of pork and 3,600 assorted vegetables and corn.
