Roxas City – Planning and workshop activities for peace and order as well as on public safety have started to roll out in Capiz.
Erwin Bonifacio of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Capiz said the DILG field officers are leading the activities.
“All LGUs are required to submit the three-year Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) plan” by January 31, Bonifacio said.
During the meeting of the government information officers in Capiz, he said the POPS plan must be formulated by all the local Peace and Order Councils within 100 days upon assumption of office of the newly elected local chief executives.
The DILG Capiz led by Provincial Director Clyne Deocampo recently teamed with the Capiz Association of Local Planning Development Coordinators, Inc. for a two-day POPS plan formulation workshop for planning and development coordinators, chiefs of police, health officers and social welfare and development officers from the different LGUs here.
