PILAR, Bataan/MANGALDAN, Pangasinan — Two separate vehicular crashes resulted in very violent deaths of three occupants of a car that crashed into a trailer-truck in Bataan yesterday and a passenger of a jeepney that rammed into a concrete fence in Pangasinan last Sunday.
In Bataan, a Toyota Vios (NQI-320) tailing a trailer-truck at high-speed along the Roman Highway in Barangay Ala-uli, Pilar town, slammed into the trailer, thereby crushing to death car occupants Rommel Garcia, of Limay town; and Ronald Galarce, and Dionesio Ramos, both of Orion town.
Senior Inspector Jennifer Cruz, Pilar Municipal Police Station (MPS) spokesman, said the accident happened at 1:30 a.m. while both the 10-wheeler and the car were traveling southbound.
Cruz said the car’s driver, Rogelio de la Rosa, and another passenger, Nenita Ramos, were injured and taken to the hospital after the collision.
Godofredo Tabuno, driver of the truck registered to Pierce Mega Corporation and now under the custody of the Pilar MPS, was being investigated over the incident.
Meanwhile in Pangasinan, Supt. Jeff Fanged, acting police chief of Mangaldan, said one Mylene de Vera was killed when the passenger jeepney she was in rammed into a concrete fence at the end of a zigzag road in Barangay Amansabina around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Twenty-four other occupants of the jeepney, including the driver Sandrom Correa, were injured in the accident that happened after they all came from a family outing at San Fabian Beach in San Fabian town, Pangasinan.
