Ilocos Norte residents were surprised upon learning the news that the remains of late Ferdinand Marcos would be buried Friday, November 18 at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Melvin Dela Cuesta, a longtime Marcos loyalist, admitted that he didn’t have any knowledge about the burial of the late president today despite having close coordination with his fellow loyalists in the province.

“I am amazed upon knowing through a report in the television this morning that the remains of former President FM is set to bury today at the LNMB,” he said.

However, he is very grateful as their longtime aspiration for the former president to be buried at the LNMB is realized today.

Meanwhile, the novena prayer, which is now on the third day, will push through upon the burial of the former president at the LNMB.
