Typhoon Igme, with the international name “Chaba,” has maintained its strength and is now moving out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Based on the 11:00 am weather bulletin of the the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the typhoon is heading north northwest at 20 kilometers per hour. It is expected be outside PAR by tomorrow morning, October 4.
As of 10:00 am, the eye of Typhoon Igme was located 700 km northeast of Basco, Batanes.
It has maximum sustained winds of up to 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 215 kph.
No tropical cyclone warning signals were raised.
