BATANGAS—The Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) has recorded another three persons drowned in the province on Good Friday.
In Nasugbu town, Eljon Eragan who went swimming with his live-in partner’s relatives along the shoreline of Barangay Calayo, was found beneath the seawater at around 9 a.m.
Eragan was declared dead on arrival at Jabez Hospital in Nasugbu.
Kerby Sanchez was declared upon arrival at San Roque General Hospital when drowned at Avida Swimming Pool in Barangay San Antonio, Sto. Tomas town at around 1:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, search and retrieval operations conducted by the local police with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) resulted in the retrieval of the body of Arvin Almendral who dove in Taal Lake in Barangay Poblacion 4, Laurel town.
Report said Almendral failed to surface at around 6:30 p.m. and his body was found several hours later.
On Thursday, BPPO also reported the drowning of a 33-year-old Filipino-Austrian and a 3-year-old girl in the towns of Lobo and San Juan , respectively.
