The city government of Manila will hold its annual “Operation Tuli” project this summer as part of its continuing efforts to provide basic healthcare services to its constituents.
Dr. Benjamin Yson, head of the Manila Health Department (MHD), said ‘Operation Tuli’ offers free circumcission to residents of Manila.
“This is going to be done during summer break. This is open to everyone – children as well as adults. They will be given free circumcision. This is a painless minor surgical procedure,” Yson said.
“Gagawin po ito sa mga selected health centers at ito po’y magiging bayanihan system wherein mga five or six doctors will converge in one health center on a certain day and conduct free circumcision,” he added.
The MHD chief said the Operation Tuli is scheduled to be held after the Holy Week.
He said the six hospitals owned and operated by the city government will also offer free circumcision services to Manileños.
