Leni on #NagaLeaks: ‘We did not sin against the country’

Published

By Raymund F. Antonio

If the troll armies think they can silence her with their latest expose, they are mistaken.

Vice President Leni Robredo is not about to back down from any online attacks and vowed to continue as the voice of dissent against the controversial policies of the Duterte administration.

This was after an online group called “We Are Collective” released what they call as Part 1 an article entitled “Deception: The Shocking Truth behind Leni and Jesse Robredo.”

The so-called #NagaLeaks has gone viral and it became a trending topic on social media.

“This is not the first time it was done. It has been done this before. They didn’t succeed and no matter what they do, they can’t keep us quiet,” Robredo said in Filipino.

Speaking to reporters in Cebu City, she addressed the supposed “truth” about the Robredos, noting that it is another misinformation against her being spread on social media.

“We are ready to face anything. We have nothing to hide. We did not sin against the country,” said Robredo, who resigned from her post as Housing chief with the Duterte cabinet.

Robredo  said she will continue to voice out her stand on these issues. “These supposed leaks that are coming out are attempts to silence us,” she said.

Just last January, Robredo was allegedly involved into the so-called “LeniLeaks,” a reported plot for Duterte ouster.

“The access to social media is being used against people who are courageously expressing their dissent,” she said.

“The access to social media is being used against people who are courageously expressing their dissent” as you said VP. Now who are these so called “people that have access to social media used against you and others like you”. It is coming from private citizens, bloggers and then you would say “they are being used to go against you”. You know Ma’am, for all you know, these people are not told to say something, they are saying something out of their volition, out of what they read and heard from the mainstream media, which you have almost accessed and being allowed access/use in a daily bases. Your “voices of dissent” got aired almost hundred percent everyday. Now for people like us/me, who are expressing dismays and frustrations, you would say we are being use against you. F****d! because if you know me, I am not definitely one of your “paid trolls” (who coined it?), I am just an ordinary thousand of citizens who happened to have access to twitter, Facebook, etc even before you become a candidate and your name not in the consciousness of Filipinos mind yet. So shut up!, because you have all the mainstream media in your hand and even individual journalist in your hand as well. The reason you can voice out your dissent perhaps using your OVP funds just for the sake of your f**** dissent and opposition. What do the ordinary folks get out of it…nothing except to express your own personal thoughts to forward your own selfish motives. For all you know, “these people that have access to social media” don’t come from the PHL, have good paying jobs, highly professional, well-mannered, totally independent and isolated from mainland PHL. Their only connection perhaps was their formative years, which I can tell you based in good conduct and discipline, which you been molded and trained by dedicated and more professional teachers, unlike today’s breed of young Filipinos, which are more on social media and electronics gadgets…the millennials. Lot of these people are “baby boomers” who went to different forms of struggle to be where they are now. So, (again) stop bellying these people. Look into yourself!!!

Very well said!!! We are not for sale or paid for what we have to say, We say it because we love our country and we need changes…. not publicity that twist the true story behind your fast…..

    • Liv4GoodPh

So what’s ur point? You believe in youtube and FB fake posts against her? It’s obvious that they are villifying her.and mind u she is just working and just reacting to attacks. Good that she is more stronger and firmer in her opposition! I admire her more than ur master and the son of the dictator!

      • dee

If you asked me, what’s my point. If you read my remarks, it is simply for VP and or OVP not to say that you,me and anybody who have access to social media are being use by current administration to attack or go against the people who are courageously expressing their “dissent”. The “dissent” means or associated with VP Robredo. In other words, I am being used or associated with the current administration…I am not, I don’t even know these people (Robredo or Duterte), and to put it blindly, I don’t care. If you or some other Filipinos want to be identified with Robredo, fine!, but tell her not to call or brand us as “puppet” or spokeperson of the administration to attack her. Understand the subject of discussion and my comment, if you will.

There is no vilification here. Because there are people and time and places names. leni accusing that malacanang and digong is sakim sa power? who has been in naga for a long long time??? Leni is corrupt, one and the same. And she is one big deception. She deserves to be bashed.

    • Titania

I really hope this will not just stay in social media. I hope they will bring it to the proper forums like courts. So people would stop thinking it’s fake news, so this article will rise above the labels as tsimis and paninira. So once and for all people would know. It seems the group are very confident in their sources and evidences, so there should be no problem of presenting their witnesses and legal documents to media like affidavits. They should just, “bring it on”. The Part 2 being presented in courts is way, way better than just imagining things as you read them.

    • I really hope this will not just stay in social media.

    • I really hope this will not just stay in social media. .

  • Jackbauer

Why don’t you just answer the supposed #NagaLeaks head on, VP Leni? Why do you keep on resorting to name-calling all the people who are critical against you calling them as mere “trolls”? And why do you keep on diverting all the issues hurled at you instead of addressing it one by one? But when you are throwing issues against this administration, you are so quick as h3ll in issuing BS statements one by one. And when tides are flowing against you, you are so haste at dismissing it as mere “silencing” you from your “dissents” against the President?

What the heck is wrong with you and your partymates, ROBREDO??? Why are you doing this to the detriment of the country? How I wish and pray, and I do, that all of you, your partymates, your cohorts and the destabilizers of this present administration would not succeed in your evil intents and instead be destructed until you’d all be forgotten never to return again in the political scene! You are all bring disgrace to this already downtrodden country due to LIBERAL PARTY’s corruption, apathy and ineptitude!

    • dee

Same here, thanks. Look Jackbauer, its so frustrating. And for those other readers, that doesn’t know and had not meet or come across Ms. Robredo, does she command respect by just looking at her picture, much more when she start talking…not at all. Again, i don’t know her and even Mr. Duterte except what I read and saw in You Tube or informations coming from bloggers. But the more frustrations are from those other Filipino (local or residing overseas who put personality first in front of their comments not exactly the merit and essence of the issues. Therefore, if the Filipinos be this way, division among each other exist, not weighing-in to real issues, fond of drama, no delicadeza, fond of easy money, negative, crab mentality, post-colonial mentality and (deeply engrained) corruption…the country will not moved forward. Status Quo will remain; elite and oligarchs will run the country, rich become richer and poor become poorer. We Filipinos can only dream and hope!

No they are not mocha or sassot or riyoh. We are the ordinary citizens who are fed up of the lies and deceit of the aquinos and their allies. Nobody is trying to silence robredo. In fact we want to hear from her and her answer to all the allegations against her point by point.

Tell me if there was ever a killing accusation against Duterte when he was just a humble mayor of a city in the provinces the the Yellows have full control of the DoJ. If they can’t prove anything then, what more now?

          • Jarvis De Guzman

I wish you did the same with the anti-Marcos propaganda. The Nagaleaks sound like the same scheme they did against Marcos (only that this time around, social media has gave them a mucht tougher job doing the same against Digong), and just because this time, it’s against one of their own, they just speak ill of this ploy, which they have actually have mastered themselves decades ago. Of course, they won’t admit it and will try to just sweep these under the rug, and with mainstream media’s help, they can drown this with a lot more propaganda against the current government which they obviously are trying to oust.

          • palaboi

So much cry brod. I’ve done my share of researching thus my stance on Dugong and the Marcoses. Good day! Lolz!

          • Jarvis De Guzman

Walang response? I’m not surprised. But again, if you can’t see through the pattern of the Yellow’s mind-conditioning, I can understand kung bakit hanggang ganyan na lang ang views mo dahil na-condition ka na nga to buy their manipulation of the public’s perception. Since narrow nga ang perception mo, and you can’t force us to narrow ours to conform to yours, well, we understand na yun lang ang basis mo for belittling us. How narrow is your perception? It is so limited, as you brand us all as Duterte die-hards when there are lots us which are simply looking at both sides of the story/ies, and unfortunately for you, we see things beyond the jaundiced point of view.

          • palaboi

Naw I’m not going to dignify a fanatic with a well-thought logical response. It’s like throwing pearls to swine. LOL!

          • Jarvis De Guzman

Parang si Leni talaga, since alam niyang she might spill out something she might regret later on, insinuation na lang. Throwing pearls to swine? Parang kagaya lang ng ginagawa ko sa empty responses mo (and the joke’s on you afterall…)

          • Jarvis De Guzman

And the jaundiced minority are so full of themselves, as if they have the monopoly to the truth.

          • palaboi

You could say the same about DUtertards.

          • Jarvis De Guzman

Not so. You can hear more sense from the Duterte supporters as we are already aware of the tactics that the Yellows have been using since the 80’s… They can never fool Filipinos now as much as they were able to decades ago…

          • palaboi

HAHAHAH! Sense from Duterte supporters. OK. Lolz!

          • Jarvis De Guzman

If you can’t see any pattern of the Yellow’s methods of misleading people from decades back and what are happening nowadays, then the “Those who never learned from history are doomed to repeat it” will apply to you. They cannot gain our trust anymore, and if you buy their lies which they pepper with a few blown-out of proportion “facts,” then, you are more blinded than those you mock.

          • palaboi

If you see online rape threats, death threats and misogynistic comments as the new “sense”. Congrats. LOL

          • Jarvis De Guzman

That’s exactly the “blown-out-of-proportion” thingies you are focusing on, but blatantly disregarding the accomplishments of this current administration. And we are the blinded ones? Yeah, right!

Why would we want to silence her? I would prefer that she speak up to defend herself, or is she too afraid that she might say something that she did not intend. Or did her puppet master (Aquino) tell her to shut up and not say a word regarding this because she might “slip”something. hahaha…

Oh! HERE is where the cultmonkeys live! I was wondering why you were getting more scarce on the other news sites.

Here’s the deal, people. All of your “info” is coming from little microblogs (that’s what Facebook is) with “unknown sources”. No facts, no names, no one to interview to verify any information. That’s a common trait with the cultmonkeys. They’ll only believe what serves the narrative. Everything ELSE is fake news and must be verified completely. You’ll believe some convicts reading a script, but you won’t believe two former henchmen with nothing to gain and everything to lose. All of the established media, including international media, is controlled by the LP somehow, and only your microblogs know the truth of everything?

And you wonder why the world is laughing at Filipinos these days.

    • Joan Escudero

He already answered the allegations of the ever crazy senator trillanes. Infact the president is allowing investigations for this bank account. How about leni, when will she answer all the allegations about her. And noynoy with the saf44 the 10m flag pole and the other numerous allegations about him.

    • Jarvis De Guzman

They are just merely reviving most of those allegations on killings. Magkaingay, kung baga, mga jabs that they can muster at the moment, hoping it would all cost a dent to the President’s credibility. Palibhasa, yung mga dilawan, wala na nun. Tsk tsk tsk. At kami pa raw ang nabubugalagan? This Nagaleaks, in my opinion, is comparable sa anti-Marcos vilification. (Don’t mistake me for being pro-Marcos. I just have reason to belive they are not as evil as the yellows make them turn out to be.)

  • Ron Davis

Look and see. Matuto tayong mag-isip-isip.

They don’t deserve to be glorified. Let them Yak all they want.

  • Michel Outils

To the VP, if the only thing you can say about this expose is it’s being done to “silence” you, that’s just weak. What kind of a retard would put hours of research to write all these things? You could have attacked the issue head on, i.e. by hiring someone to refute all the claims in that expose point-by-point — you don’t even need to be the one to answer it. Just have a talented researcher/writer to prove that all the allegations brought up against you are baseless and false.

I’ll mirror the sentiments of the person who commented before me. The expose was written very well, and whoever the person who wrote it is, they really took their time. I’d imagine this person isn’t working for the government, because most, if not all, government employees suck at written English (but in their defense they don’t have to be good at it — I don’t think it’s a required skill for their job). The point is, this person is good at what they do, and whatever it is they’re cooking up, it’s obviously bigger than just to “silence” you.

So don’t act so tall and mighty and just dismiss this. You should learn from the mistakes of your boss, Noynoy — he’s failing miserably because of his complacency and arrogance. Hindi naman porke ibinoto kayo ng mga tao ibig sabihin mas mataas na kayo sa amin — on the contrary there are some of us far more capable of logic than most of you high-and-mighty government employees are.

No one wants to silence this sorry-excuse-for-a-Vice-President. We encourage her to keep excreting her press releases and press conferences all over media so that people can see what she really is. A pretentious, deceptive and shallow media creation who allows herself to be used by the Yellow Regime that plundered and incompetently misgoverned this country. She has no right to complain about being hit on social media – she deserves every ounce of scorn and disgust that we heap on her. She cannot depict herself as a helpless victim of vilification (you cannot vilify a BIG LIE). On the contrary, her minions somehow arranged for the Facebook page of the We Are Collective to be taken down. MGA PIKON!! THAT IS A SIGN OF GUILT AND EVASION OF THE TRUTH!!

This is a common problem encountered by people who use dummies to hide the real ownership of their properties. Inconsistencies in documentation and verbal declaration – hence the absurd claim that it is a rented unit – will most likely arise. Before his sudden and mysterious disappearance, I remember talking to Emil Aguinaldo in late 2007 in which he claimed that he found a paper trail establishing Jesse’s ownership not just of the unit in question but of the entire building. Emil was extremely confident that what he had can pin down Jesse. Knowing Emil and his contempt for Jesse, it would not come as a surprise if he mentioned this parlous detail to pretty much everyone else he encountered. Little did he know that his days were numbered. His failure to control his mouth and restrain himself ultimately led to his unfortunate demise. In the age of the internet, the concept of authorship has become a contested construct. It is indeed convenient to associate lies and fakery with the ease by which social media denizens can hide behind creative pseudonyms to launch attacks on persons and institutions. But it is not entirely correct to assume that just because a post comes from an anonymous source that it is a lie. What can only be concluded is that the author could not be held accountable, but it is a big leap of logic to make a blanket judgment that the one escaping identification is also necessarily a liar.

    • Quote

I agree. It s not correct to assume that just because a post comes from an anonymous source that it is a lie.

This enormous power comes with enormous responsibility, for it can also come with an enormous price. It is like playing the game of thrones where the opposite of winning could be what happened to one named Emilio Aguinaldo.
