More than 8,000 parking slots.All of these – plus a whole range of shopping, dining, entertainment, leisure and cultural products and services – inside one mall that’s about the size of 70 football fields. That’s how big the latest mall in China is, and it’s a proudly Filipino brand – SM City Tianjin.

SM City Tianjin is touted to be one of the biggest one-stop world-class lifestyle center in this part of Asia. It is located in Tianjin’s Airport Economic Area, which has the largest free trade zone in Northern China.

The mall is composed of five buildings named after the Chinese traditional “five elements”: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.  It houses big international and local brands, including a modern supermarket brand that is one of China’s top 500 enterprises. Its cinema utilizes the latest technology to complement its enormous screen. A famous French sports brand occupies a huge space to accommodate 35,000 types of sporting equipment.
